Dr. Joseph Saseen, Pharm.D., FASHP, FCCP, BCPS, BCACP

Joseph Saseen is Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and a Professor of Family Medicine. He also served as Vice Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy for 10 years. Dr. Saseen has responsibilities for enhancing the school’s clinical enterprise, further developing sustainable clinical service models, and advocating for advancing the practice of pharmacy in the State of Colorado. His scholarly work includes almost 200 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.

Dr. Jennifer M. Trujillo, PharmD, BCPS, CDE, BC-ADM

Clinical Interests

Dr. Trujillo practices at The University of Colorado Center for Adult Diabetes Care and Research. The center's inter-professional team provides diabetes management and education to patients with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Clinical research areas of interest include inpatient and outpatient diabetes management and education. Dr. Trujillo also engages in educational research and the scholarship of teaching and learning, curricular development and assessment

I thought the speaker was very knowledgable and versed in the new guidelines for management of DM with SGPLT2 and GLP-1.

For someone who has not worked closely in this space in a few years, the speaker was able to convey information in a digestible manner for all skill set levels. Very pleased with class.

I definitely picked up some pearls from this speaker as he went over lifestyle modifications for HTN including drink equivalents that are very important. I appreciate his extent of knowledge.

I really appreciated the case studies he shared, especially comparing a 33 yo patient to a 58 yo patient with the same health profile.

I am RN, the class makes me thinking more when interviewed patients! Thanks
